Products may look alike on the market, but a brand has to be unique. In a world saturated with content, the brands that win are those that know their audience, tell a consistent story and deliver an experience people remember. Companies need marketers who can build that kind of brand equity, across markets and cultures.Ìý
The MSc Brand & Marketing Management at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Business School trains professionals who can build a company’s brand equity and drive brand strategy in multicultural and international settings. You learn to understand consumers, position and design a brand, then bring it to life through campaigns, storytelling and customer experience. You also learn to use aesthetics as a source of creativity in brand decisions, an approach rooted in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Art, Technology, Management identity.Ìý
The programme is taught in English at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Berlin campus, one of Europe’s creative and start-up capitals. The MSc lasts two years, or one year with direct entry into Year 2. It is built on ATMx, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s philosophy: solid foundations in management, then crossing them with other disciplines (art, technology, the sciences) and other professions.Ìý

MSc in Brand & Marketing Management
What makes this MSc stand out
Brand, design and creativity. Brand management here is not just about numbers. You work on identities, visual codes, storytelling and campaigns, and learn to use aesthetics to drive decisions. Two TOSA certifications, Photoshop and InDesign, prove you can turn a brand idea into visuals.Ìý
From insight to experience. The programme follows the life of a brand: market and brand research, consumer psychology, creative planning and brand platforms, then social media branding, campaigns and customer experience design with AI tools.Ìý
Responsible and international brands. Courses on sustainable brands and the ethics of consumption, luxury and premium strategies, exporting and international marketing and advertising prepare you to build brands that are both desirable and responsible, on every market.Ìý
Berlin, a creative capital. You study at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Berlin campus, in the Moabit district, an area full of artists’ studios, start-ups and schools. Classes take place three days a week.Ìý
Two intakes. Start Year 1 in May or September 2027, or join Year 2 directly in September 2027.Ìý
Learning by doing
The Capstone project. In Year 2, you work in a team on a real brand challenge set by a partner company or built around a real-world problem. Supervised by academics and professionals, you analyse, create and defend your recommendations in front of the company. A concrete deliverable for your CV and portfolio.Ìý
Micro-certificates. Short modules that give you an official TOSA certification on tools employers use: Advanced Excel in Year 1, Photoshop and InDesign in Year 2.Ìý
The CreaCtive Learning Expedition. In Year 2, an immersion in an innovative ecosystem to see first-hand how companies transform.Ìý
Skills that make the difference. Speaking to convince (Talk & Impact), strategic use of generative AI (Prompt Engineering), and support in building your career plan (Unlock Your Career Potential).Ìý
Professionalisation
You complete at least 2 months of professional experience in Year 1 and 4 to 6 months at the end of your studies, in marketing, brand management or communication. Internships, entrepreneurial projects and fixed-term or permanent contracts all count, as long as they relate to the specialisation.Ìý
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s Careers and Internships Service supports you in finding internships and your first job. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ works with more than 130 partner companies. Companies that have welcomed Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ students and graduates in this field include Adidas, Puma, GfK, Brand Trust and VOK DAMS.Ìý
An international outlook
In semester 2, you can study at one of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s partner universities, for example Aarhus University (Denmark), University College Dublin (Ireland), LUISS (Rome), Fashion Institute of Technology (New York), Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá) or Hong Kong Baptist University. Internationally focused activities also lead to the Global Competency Certificate, which recognises your intercultural skills.Ìý
Programme organisation
Duration: 2 years (120 ECTS), or 1 year with direct entry into Year 2
Full time, 3 days of classes per week, in Berlin
Each year combines a core curriculum in Management by Innovation and specialisation courses
In semester 2, an academic stay abroad (30 ECTS) can replace classes on campus
The core curriculum goes beyond managing innovative projects: it makes innovation a lever to transform management practices as a whole, in response to the major challenges of digitalisation, globalisation and sustainability.Ìý
Understanding brands and their audiences
The programme starts with the people a brand speaks to. In market and brand research, you learn to collect and interpret consumer data, measure brand perception and spot growth opportunities. Psychology and marketing explains how consumers perceive, choose and stay loyal to a brand. Creative planning then turns these insights into brand platforms and distinctive positioning.Ìý
Creating and growing the brand
You discover how brands are built and brought to life today: branding in the social media era, design, storytelling and campaigns, and customer experience and service design, using AI tools to prototype and test ideas. Design is treated as a strategic lever, not a finishing touch.Ìý
Responsible and international brands
The programme covers sustainable brands and the ethics of consumption. It also prepares you for international roles, with courses on international marketing and advertising, exporting products and services, luxury and premium brand strategies, and designing innovation and new offerings.Ìý
